batampos.co.id – Bintan Resort was chosen as the host in the International Bintan Marathon race which will be held next Sunday (9/9). This event is a collaboration between the two countries, Indonesia and Singapore.
GGM PT Bintan Resort Cakrawala Group, Abdul Wahab said, Bintan Island is one of the regions that is famous for international sport tourism events.
Since the past 15 years, the sport tourism event has been held regularly in Bintan precisely in the Lagoi Bay area, with participants who are so dominated from abroad. Abdul said in his press conference at Tre Cipolle Cafe, Batamcenter.
The Bintan Marathon International event also became one of the large-scale sport tourism events, with a target of 2,000 participants.
The partner event of the CEO of PT Medianusa Permana, Mangara Peranginangin added, this competition was an attractive invitation for local and international runners to explore the island which made the most beautiful marathon in Southeast Asia.
In addition to testing physical abilities, this event also brought participants to enjoy the natural beauty of Bintan Island, taste local food and get to know more about Malay culture.
The race is divided into three categories, namely 10 km marathon (Charity Run), 21 km (Half Marathon) and 42 km (Full Marathon). For the 10 km category (Charity Run) is intended for individuals and organizations who want to participate in activities with the aim of raising funds. “Results from fundraising will be adjusted to help local and decent charities in Bintan,” continued Abdul.
Currently, registration is still open until 23 August 2018 through the website www.bintanmarathon.com. For local participants, registration fees are provided at a 30 percent discount.
